Back-end data storage upgrade: affecting deployments started before August 11th, 2018

#1

Dear SpatialOS users,

We are currently upgrading some of our back-end data storage. As a result of this process, there will be some user-facing impacts that we wanted to make you aware of.

Starting October 18th, 2018, you will no longer be able to download the deployment configuration or perform a restart via the web-based Console interface for deployments that were started before August 11th, 2018. Any more recent deployments will not be affected.

For example, if your project “my_game_one” has two archived deployments:

  • One started on 5 August 2018;
  • One started on 20 August 2018;
    Then you will still be able to download the config for the later, but no longer for the first one.

If you need to start an old deployment, you can recreate a launch configuration with our documentation, and launch it using command spatial cloud launch and manually specify your newly created launch configuration.

Thanks,
Jim
