GAME JAM PRIZES & CATEGORIES
Category: “Showing promise”
Judged by Improbable founder and CEO Herman Narula, this will be rewarded to the game that shows the most promise as an actual game.
Prize: This is a big prize - Improbable will help you make your game!
We’ll take your idea and work with you to turn your game into a reality. This will involve us organising several weeks of extended jamming at the winning team’s convenience - we’ll throw engineers, animations, VFX and concept art at the project to see how far we can take it together.
Category: “Strongest take on the theme”
A panel of judges will decide who has the best take on the jam’s theme, which will be announced on the day.
Prize: Winners will be able to choose from one of the following -
A mini Sega, a Raspberry Pi or an Atari Flashback.
Runners up will get an Improbable swag box
Category: “Popular vote”
This will be judged by you wonderful people with a little help from our panel of experts. We’ll use a poll on the forums to select the most popular game.
Prize: winners will be able to choose from one of the following -
A Logitech gaming mouse, an LG 22" monitor, or a Corsair Gaming Keyboard.
Plenty of Improbable swag will be around for the runners up too!
Category: “Best art”
This will be judged by our special guest Rex Crowle (Lead Creator at Media Molecule, creators of Little Big Planet and Tearaway) who will decide which is the best-looking game.
Prize: winners will be able to choose from one of the following:
A Wacom Tablet, a 3D Printing Pen, or a Samsung 500GB SSD.
Additional rules regarding prizes
Max team size of five. One prize per winner per team (a team of 5 people will each win 1 prize of their choice, mailed to you after the game jam, at our convenience).
If an Improbable employee is on your team, you are still eligible for all the prizes: but the employee can not win! (Don’t worry, they will be rewarded internally).
We will try to ensure 1 game doesn’t win all of the prizes, but there are no guarantees!
