How to use Unity's ScriptableObjects with spatialOs design parameters?



ScpriptableObjects perfect for storing data, item and inventory, quest, monster… It is a native solution either. But what about with spatialOs? How can I implement ideas on mmorpg genre with spatial os design patterns?


Hey @cemugurk,

you can use ScriptableObjects for static data like an item database. All data which can be changed should be stored in a SpatialOS component or it won’t be persistent.

In general you can implement all ideas with SpatialOS… just make sure you use components for storing and syncing data. If you have a more specific question i could try to help you :slight_smile:


I am trying to construct an architecture for mmorpg with spatialOs. But I’d be happy if you say scriptableObjects would be safe to use and couldn’t be manipulated or changed by clients(users) :slight_smile:
