SpatialOS CLI Release: 25 September 2019

Hello, we’ve rolled out a new version of the SpatialOS CLI (20190924.093427.d1d4ab159e) today containing the following changes:

  • [Breaking change] Removed the snapshot.startDeploymentFromSnapshotFile string field from the FPL launch configuration file and added a new string field called defaultSnapshotUploadFilepath to the FPL project configuration file. The new defaultSnapshotUploadFilepath field is functionally identical to and will replace the old snapshot.startDeploymentFromSnapshotFile field. For more information, please see:
  • spatial alpha cloud launch now allows you to skip the step of uploading a snapshot before starting a deployment in case the snapshot_read_id runtime flag is set in the launch configuration file and in case the snapshot you would like to use to start a deployment with already exists in the snapshot history corresponding to the name of the deployment you are about to start.
  • Corrected a typo in the help description for the --assembly flag of the spatial alpha cloud launch command.
  • Improved the robustness of error logging. SpatialOS CLI will now log certain errors that previously weren’t logged.

These changes apply regardless of your SpatialOS SDK version once you’ve updated your CLI version.

You can get the latest version by running spatial update from the command line. The latest version is 20190924.093427.d1d4ab159e.

To revert the update, run spatial update --rollback.

Thanks and happy coding.
