On first glance, this manual technique appears cumbersome.

If my understanding is accurate, I would suggest that this code should be abstracted to a custom node with implementation in C++.

For us, one strength of blueprints is simplicity. In Vanilla Unreal blueprints, network tasks are handled behind the scenes and I favor that approach.


Yep, as part of our cleanup pass some of the features that are currently BP will probably be moved to C++ or refactored.
